Im always amazed how some folk carry around great big bulging purses around with them. Not with money but wads of credit cards, photos, receipts etc. I actually hate big purses. I prefer just a little clip purse for small change and carry notes and only the credit card Im likely to use that day in a small plastic bank money bag. Leaves much more room in my handbag for other things, like my phone, a small tape measure, a credit card size magnifying glass ( for reading small print on labels when shopping), small screwdriver, address book/diary, safety pins , comb, clean hankie

What necesseties do you carry around ?

well, I'm off out for the day today and I'm not even taking my hand bag!
Everything I need will be in pockets (front pockets) and that includes ATM card and cash and bus/train passes
I will have a rucksack that I can carry on my back but it is for shopping bought whilst out and easy to carry for me

Oj, Have a great day out, just dont fill it too much with shopping or you will never get home. If Im out walking for the day, I too prefer to take my rucksack with just spare cash, ATM card and phone, and bottle of water
why do you have a screwdriver, TOH?! and I wouldn't carry my diary about with me either.

I have a long purse which takes unfolded notes and my cards, and coin - but it poppers shut so it can't get too fat.

In my handbag - tissues, headache tablets, often a small bottle of water, phone, Tiger Balm, two or three ballpoint pens, tiny hairbrush.
iphone, tissues, make up bag, sewing kit, large purse, diary, ladies things, headphones, kindle, perfume
I wish women's clothes had proper pockets, then you wouldn't need a handbag at all.
On the other hand, chaps in Italy and France carry a manbag because stuffing their pockets ruins the lines of their tailoring.
However I never wear tailoring so this wouldn't trouble me.

Big poachers pockets is what's needed.
Oh.... in purse asstd cards (13) cash,
book, spare glasses, mp3 player, lunch, can coke, pens/pencils etc comb/ tissues, small makeup bag with pills lip salve plasters etc, small sewing kit, toothbrush, toothpaste, keys, work keys and ID, mobile, usb charger, sweeteners, diary, inhaler, umbrella .... I only have my smaller bag today
I got in the habit of carrying a massaive handbag way back when, when mobile phones were the size of half a brick....

Having said that, now that I use a trolley bag for work, most of it gets stuffed in their. My work handbag also adds the work mobile...
I have a card sized purse that fits into my back pocket. In it at present, I have a debit card, a gift voucher card and a cheque that I should have banked by now. I don't like carrying bags.
Oh forgot building pass, car keys, house keys
Crumbs FGT, I forgot them - car keys, house keys, office keys.... :-)

Bus pass, train pass, ID badge for work...

Its a very small screwdriver for the screws in my glasses. They are often coming loose, although I dont wear them when going out now, I guess Its just habit keeeping it in my bag, cos you never know when you might need it, as with all the other necessities. There isnt any info in my address book / diary. Mainly just emergency telephone numbers and birthdates.Again, its only small.
Boxtops, I forgot to mention headache tablets ( for everybody elses use )
lol box then there is the crumbs in the bottom of the handbag - how come there are always crumbs when I don't keep food in there?
Oh yes bus pass and if not going to work sometimes some folding secateurs in case a cutting opportunity comes along... they weigh a ton so not too often... think I will have to swap books for an E reader to save weight too
When you go out and spend money you get given a receipt. My receipts go into the wallet half of my purse, along with bank notes. I also need bank card, credit card, boots advantage card, coop shopping card and library card etc. You cant be very spontaneous if you have nothing with you except one credit card and a plastic money bag! I dont have any photos with me but everything else is kind of essential.
I only need my purse, keys and phone BUT, the bag is full with junk that I've never thrown away, usually litter because I can't find a bin, receipts, tissues and all other detritus. God I could go on forever, should probably go and clear it out actually.

lol Rowan. So you are the one who cuts off flowers that overhang peoples walls. Saves buying them, I suppose. You must have to carry a spare plastic carrier bag too to put them all in.
cheers, we will I'm sure =)

I'll try not to buy too much lol
oh, and my phone is tucked away in my bra .....

grasscarp. I can be very spontaneous, thats why I keep OH credit card with me. Its the only one I need. I dont like carrying lots of money with me. If I do have to withdraw some I stuff it into my inside coat pocket for safety
No only cuttings with permission but I have been known to approach strangers in their gardens and admire a plant very effusively in the hope I get offered a but... and yes forgot folding shopping bag, or plastic carrier, and clean knickers... old habits die hard and you never knew when you'd get the offer too good to turn down...
