Hi

Has anyone purchased items on EBay before from International sellers?

I was thinking about purchasing a soft toy from an EBay seller who is based in Hong Kong. The item is very cheap & is listed in UK pounds sterling (under £2) The postage is not free, but cheap (under £1.00), so am I likely to incur any customs costs?

Are the rules for Hong Kong the same as China?

Any help would be appreciated

Nooooooooooooooooo!!

Don't do it
And if you dont know that Hong Kong is in China, you really shouldn't do it ;-)
Aside from which it is likely to be fake as well as dangerous, triply so at that price
I answered this on your other thread http://www.theanswerb.../Question1141767.html

Yes, Hong Kong sellers are subject to the same international eBay processes as those in China.
maybe she didn't like your answers, Box ;-)
My daughter has ordered stuff from Chinesae Ebayers... The only problem was it took a couple of weeks before it arrived... p.s.no customs charges either..

Thought it sounded familiar, that's 3 times now
I bought a pashmina from a seller in China and it was very straightforward, but perhaps I was lucky. I think you should proceed with caution, though.
I have bought from USA and hong kong but would buy cheap kids toys from abroad! Recent programme showed a lot are fakes and poorly made so are potentially dangerous to kids. They don't have the same rigorous standards we have here in uk
