Am I Right To Be Feeling This Way?
Family Life0 min ago
My friend recently had a baby boy and i am looking to get him something a bit special as a gift ideally spending around 30 but happy to spend up to 50. I havent seen her yet so I am not 100% sure of the facts but i know his name and the day he was born (i think). When my daughter was born she gave me a handmande fleece blanket with her name on it and i would like something which is similarly personal but not cheesy. I also dont want to turn up will some off the peg outfits, i would rather give something that shows i have really thought about it. Sorry to waffle on but I hope someone can help, will probably see her in the next 7-14 days so dont have a huge amount of time. I also should say that I work full time & have a child of my own so dont have masses of time to prepare anything. All suggestions gratefully received though as i could take a day off if the perfect idea comes up. Thanks

Another idea if you're not so sewing/knitting inclined would be a nice baby book you could buy a big hard covered book and make it nicer by sticking in sheets of handmade paper or using stampers/stickers, you can get scrapbooking supplies in craft shops. since you don't have much info about the baby you could just fill in some things like write "mothers name...." "fathers name....." etc for your friend to fill in, also things like when the baby first smiled etc
sorry I don't have any better ideas!
