Can anyone tell me if you can get Rupert the Bear on video/Dvd not the animated version the one when they were puppets it was on tv in the early 70s. Thanks, alli

The series was made by John Read and Mary Turner, who had been cameraman and puppeteer respectfully on various Gerry Anderson shows. They set up their own company when Anderson finally moved away from puppet shows. Cloppa Castle, Here Comes Mumfie and The Munch Bunch were also made by them.
I think they may not be able to release the series on DVD as the rights to Rupert TV shows rests with another company currently involved with a TV series production.
I am led to believe there was a video of some episodes in the early 1980's, but I have never come across it.
