Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Fairtrade SA Cabernet Sauvignon 14%
A richly intense red bursting with gorgeous aromas of ripe bramble fruits and flavours of juicy blackberries and plums. Meaty, well-structured and drier than your average red, it's a perfect partner for lamb tagine or rib of beef.
Available for the offer price of £7.49 (down from £9.99).
Now folks, I'm driving up to see Mum tomorrow and need to get a nice bottle of bubbly. Anybody know of any offers on bubbly this week?
Finally, for the true beer and ale aficionados, please see Redman's excellent Beer Of The Week Thread below:

It`s not something I would get if I wanted a nice (first)bottle for christmas or a birthday but it`s not bad at all as `back-up`. I`m going to get a couple of bottles and keep them for N Year. It` on offer until 9th Oct.
White wine of the year at lunchtime, an old family friend who is somewhat a connoisseur.............a Sauvignon Quarz from the Cantina Terlano.
It's a commune wine from several small holdings in the furthest north of Italy with the vineyard high up clinging to an old glacial cliff and the starkness of the terrain reflected in the austerity of the wine. Absolutely stunning and I have just looked it up, a price tag to match (£30+) but a hell of a treat. Now it's either that or the Howard Park's Allegory from Western Oz for Christmas if I can get my sticky fingers on some.
I know it's rheotorical but can I justify the former?

Thanks for that, Craft. I was hoping that would be on offer somewhere. :-)
Funny that, ethandron. I was toying with the idea of getting that one. Should've got it when it was on offer.
Wow, DT, that sounds awesome. I think you can treat yourself for xmas!
Mum and I have a bottle of Veuve for tonight. :)
