Hi can any one help I have been given a panasonic vcr nv-730 to play my old video tapes on, however i cant connect it to telly. this vcr dosnt have a scart connection like ther vcrs ive had only jack plug like sockets on the back saying In and Out. I have tried connecting it with a cable with the plugs for these but cant get a picture the tape is turning and all buttons seem to be working. what am i doing wrong??? any help would be very welcome.

This VCR appears to be MONO so only one audio output and a BNC connection
2 thing spring to mind.
1 - How many plugs have to connected? There should be 2 sound (L&R) and 1 with the video signal.
2 - Have you selected the channel on the TV the VCR is connected to, if so have you tuned this channel to pick up the signal from the VCR?
Also have you tried another tape?

If you have the above red, white and yellow connectors then you just need something like this

And then you can connect the VCR to the scart on the TV.
sorry it dosn't say how to connect it to the telly we have tried just about every sinario so i think i will get one with a scart lead i know where i am with one of those thank you every one for all your help xxxxxx
Hi not me this time but hubby asking where on the recorder do you put the red yellow and white pins go we have one of these connectors and tried it but i think we had it in wrong holes lol i know im a pain in the a55
