I have short legs (im only 5'3) and I think my calves are quite chunky so I never weat skirts. I really want to get at least one skirt for the summer though. What would be the most flattering style?

Hi milly143, I'm 5'1" and I wear whatever length skirt I'm in the mood for at the time, although if I wear long ones I always wear high heels! Can't really comment on the chunky calves and I'm not saying you're imagining them, but I know so many girls who say they're fat, have fat legs, whatever, and there's nothing whatsoever wrong with them.

This is an interesting website...browse and I think you will find some useful info...

If the previous didn't work (b/c I think it isn't going to), maybe try this one...

I'm 5'1 and I wear skirts, though as I'm not too slim I tend to wear quite long ones, I think the gypsy style skirts out at the moment are great, I've got a couple, and I wear them with flatties!

I think if you are short you should stick to a style just above the knee, nice with flip-flops, boots or whatever.

I am a bit on the short side too and wear gypsies...like them with wedges as well as flatties...always feel a bit more confident when I have a high shoe on!
I'm 5' 0 and actually dared to wear flat shoes with a skirt yesterday! I think shorter skirts are better on shorter legs, and you don't really have to worry about looking too tarty. I can't get away with a long skirt and flat shoes though, just drags ya down.
