a) is there stuff I can't send? ( I was thinking along the lines of sweets and mags) and b) how long will it take, ie, will she get the stuff pre X-mas.. or shall I just not bother.. (Friday night.. had the week from hell.. ergo frankly anti x-mas anyhoo!!)
It`s worth a bash. They are VERY touchy about food items into Australia but if you declare them on the package, you might get away with sending sweets.
Try interparcel.com. they will give you four delivery options depending on weight and size of parcel, you can track it acrossthe route and see who signed for it on delivery. They also have a list of restricted/prohibited items.
which you can follow if you choose! You will need a printer as there are customs and freight forms to download, my stuff gets to USA in 3 to5 days.
I gave up the Post office as a bad job, Airmail took SIX weeks inspite of being identified as such ,not once but twice!!
