Xmas Shopping - Online Or On Foot?

Which do you prefer and why?

I've done a few bulky things online, in the comfort of my own home, with a glass of wine. And this morning I braved our local shopping centre in the freezing cold and queues everywhere to get the things that I didnt want to risk arriving late!

Mr P and I went shopping in town last weekend. Our one and only trip to the shops. It was a nightmare!

Everything else has been done online - less grumpy people around!

We dont have an awful lot to buy but i prefer to walk round the shops.
Yes there are some grumpy and ignorant folk about.
Half of them dont even move an inch to let you pass by them,grrrrrr.

I do actually miss Christmas shopping of years ago, out early, pocket full of cash and loads of bags to come home with, reality nowadays is simple, the shops rarely have what I want in stock, so you have to go back on a wing and a prayer, not for me! I'll sit on my arse and do it indoors.

We were just in Preston today to get some presents for my oh, we only really bought from one shop so it wasn't too bad. All other shopping has been/will be done online.

I do both I look on-line to find the best price and go and find it in the shop. If it is not available in the shop I buy it on-line.
I have had excellent service from both ways. It is time and cost, plus speed of delivery that decide which I use.

All mine, apart from one, bought online. Best way by far for me as I'm not very mobile.

I've done a bit of both, Smow. Some of the things I've purchased this year I would struggle to find in Stores locally. The only thing I would shop for in town is wrapping paper/gift tags.

I really like Amazon's service where, for a nominal charge, they'll wrap a present and print a gift tag to go with it. I once got a large DVD boxset for my Nephew and had it delivered to their house instead and it looked beautiful.

I went out on foot and get tired, hot and irritable. I acheived nothing so I went online, searching a few familiar and some less familiar sites and got loads done in one evening.

I felt so much better. It was also much cheaper, more choice and more customer friendly.

A bit of both. I love going online for the 'special' gifts that I may not find elsewhere. Shops are only useful if you know exactly what you want,can grab it,pay...and run.

Am sat in bed with laptop on and have just got a '5 course meal,cocktail etc for 2 people in Mayfair', down from "130 to £49!

I prefer to shop online rather than going out in freezing weather. Shopping online is also a smart way to save money on favorite products.

Two weeks ago tomorrow I was on Princes Street, Edinburgh doing some shopping, it was crazy but magic at the same time. Did the German market bought some mugs for the kids and had them engraved. Lunch at a nice pub on Rose Street and then back to Daughters to do some on-line shopping with a nice glass of Red. Most of mine has been done on line. I do like picking wrapping, tags and Christmas cards from the shops though.. Glad to say its all done and I think I'll be wrapping them all today. x
