Best Time Of Year To Buy An Engagement Ring?
6 Answers
When is the best(cheapest) time of year to get an engagement ring?
I've heard people say the summer, because this is typically a Jeweller's slowest time, and to avoid Christmas and Valentine's Day because those are the busiest times. I've also heard people saying the opposite, and to go for Christmas/Valentine's day because then there's more sales on as the Jewellers fight for customers. I've also heard people saying to go for the slump just after Christmas/Valentine's day?

My best guess would be right after Christmas (inventory reduction) or Valentines day and late Summer. I wouldn't overlook Sam's club. The best deals are at pawn shops and you might even be able to find some loose diamond to mount - just get an independant appraisal. Thing about having a ring mounted is that if she doesn't like it, you are kinda stuck. Hope this helps you a little.
