Let's Talk Heating.

In my experience (although with the odd exception) women like to be warm whereas men like to be cold.
This morning I looked at the roofs of my neighbours bungalows and all the ones where women live alone had no snow on them whereas the men's did.
This is because the men don't bother putting the heating on.
I like a nice warm bed in the winter with my nice warm pj's whereas MrP would want an ice cold bed wearing his birthday suit.
How about you?

I like an ice cold bedroom and no pjs. I will even open the window in -12 conditions (although this often gets vetoed by Mr BM).

Now Mr BM is a hardy scot. So you would think it is the other way round. But no, he is a big softie.

I do like the rest of the house to be warm though. I've spent 2 years living here without the heating working properly (I didn't realise, I just got used to being cold). Until it was fixed 3 weeks before Christmas I had no idea how cold we had been!

It could be because the mens bungalows have better loft insulation :-)

Mr A likes a warm living room, well, to him it's warm, to me it's a greenhouse.

BM, a hardy Scot, nah, mine will go fishing during the season at 2AM quite happily but moans about a cold house. Where did they leave their senses?

It's 16C in the only warm corner of my house (here by my desk), which is 2 degrees warmer than it's been for the past few days. I've got 5 layers of clothing on my upper body and I'm wearing thermal socks over normal ones (with cotton insoles in my trainers for added warmth). I feel quite cosy!

I had new front doors a couple of weeks ago, which have solved one set of draughts - but now the cold air's coming up through the floorboards (which, I do admit, are gappy)

I prefer it cold. The heat makes me feel heavy headed. He has the fire on low...I would happily turn it off and put a blanket over my legs.

I knew there would be the odd exception :-)
Bright spark all the bungalows are the same as far as loft insulation etc as we are all in housing association accommodation, so all doors and windows etc. Only our own choice in decorating.
