Anybody bothering??
I will give my partner a card, flowers and cook a meal.
But to be fair I get her flowers all the time and cook at least 2/3 times a week for us. But we both decided that Valentines is a money maker and if you did decide to do something flash it would cost you 30% more than if you did the same thing the next week (flowers, meal, hotel etc...).
I used to be the flash guy before we got a mortgage and a home. Priorities seem somewhat different now!
It's our wedding anniversary tomorrow as well, we're just giving anniversary cards, he's going to be away till Tuesday, so not much point, went out for a meal on Sunday.
I gently explained to my boyfriend that if I did not get a card this year, there would be a severe drought. I have had an envelope on my dressing table since yesterday. I will be getting him a card . Because I love him !!!!
I wouldn't go out and spend a fortune on a meal etc. but I love Valentine's Day. Well I like any excuse for silly fun.
Staying at home with goodies to eat, wine and errrrr........silly fun would be my choice.
I'm still at mums while dad's in hossie, been here since Sunday will be here for maybe another week, so don't expect my oh to bother ...probably won't even notice it's Valentine's day !...boo hoo...sob sob...
Well Mr BM is off out with my brother. And has asked if I could possibly knock up some scones and a pear tarte tatin tomorrow. So I might make heart shaped scones to see if he gets the hint!!!!!!!!!!!!
