If you get cashback from a supermarket, does it count as withdrawing cash or is it still possible to also withdraw the cash limit at a cash machine on the same day? Going away today and just realised I can only get £250 cash from the machine in one day. Also is there a cashback limit?

Good question lankeela, often wondered that myself. Can't help but will be interested to know the answer x
I can only get 300 in a day, but I suppose it depends on what the bank has imposed or what you ask them to do. Best to give them a call.
It depends on the shop. It isn't included in your cash point limit.

My corner shop has given me £200 cashback.
You can get more than £300 a day...you just can't get it out of the ATM.

Ok, sorted. Got £250 out of the machine in the Post Office (its a Co-op bank account). Then went shopping in Sainsbury's and got £50 cashback (the maximum). Ummm its almost impossible to find a Co-op bank (or Britannia BS).
I know it doesn't help but my Barclays account allows £750 daily from ATMs.
Interesting, I've always assumed that it's £250 limit withdrawal on the debit card, no matter where you take it from (bank or supermarket).
santander is £500 a day, in 2 transactions
What I found out yesterday. I went to the supermarket, went through the self service, realised I'd forgot something, went back to the self service and it wouldn't take my card. The assistant had to okay it.
That's news, too, ummm.
I was surprised as well. She said it was because the card had been used at the same till in such a short space of time.

She only had to scan her card and press okay.
Random Thought - can you get cashback out of the Self Service tills?
Lankeela - if you can get to your own bank - withdraw the limit at the ATM - then walk into bank and get more with your card and maybe some ID.
bednobs I am with Santander - did think the limit was £250 per day but if I wanted more would do what I have suggested to Lankeela.

What do you mean 2 transactions - do you mean put the card in twice if so mind you not recently but I did do it one time and the second time card was rejected telling me you have lifted todays limit etc.
Also Lankeela if I am correct cash back in a shop is roughly £50.
Depends if its a joint account Conne and you use both cards
My Santander account allows £300 but I'm not able to do 2 transdactions of that amount
S-D, you can in M&S and Sainsbury's....I haven't tried in any others x
boo and chelle - right no don't have a joint account (ALL MY MONEY) haha

Chelle I thought I was correct - but you could do what I already said re Lankeela.
S-D you can in Asda too.
