What Do You Forget?
49 Answers
I always remember something when at the checkout. Usually the boring things like toilet roll or cling film (even though I write a list!) Most of the time the staff are polite when I dart from the till to get my last purchase, sometimes they guve me that peed of look. What do you always forget or remember at the last minute?

What do I forget? Now let me think . . . Sorry, what was the question?

Never. I only remember when I get home! Yesterday, I went to the bank to pay in some cheques. I didn't bring them with me and had to think of some face-saving reason for being there. That's typical; I once took the dog to the vet and only found out that he wasn't in the car when I'd driven some miles to get there.
Boo, can you not persuade all supermarkets to void the shopping of all the people who expect the rest of us to wait while they go and get an item they've forgotten? Height of bad manners, another example of mememe people.
I hate the people who spend double normal time placing each item in a specific bag. Sort it at home for heaven's sake, the only things I packed specially are cleaning stuff and fresh meat.
What do I forget? Usually whatever the one item was I went in for.

Diz, I didn't go in. Well, there was no dog to take in. When I got home, the dog was sitting patiently in the hall, with his collar and lead on , with a look on his face that suggested "All right, what have you done now?" My dogs are used to me. I once got a silent dog whistle. The first time I used it, they responded. The second time they didn't, thinking "Oh, it's the old fool , up to his old tricks again.Ignore him"
