I never go there, I always use independent opticians - I don't like chain store specs, I like personal service.
You only get what you lay for, as the old saying goes.

Tracie66 assuming you meant you only get what you pay for, I think paying nearly £200.00 for three bits of wire and two pieces of plastic not that cheap.
I've always found SpecSavers to offer wonderful service. Yes, of course they can get things wrong but they go out of their way to put things right as quickly as possible. (They've even spent time providing with with free repairs on specs that weren't even bought from them).

If you've got a problem, tell them about it!
No complaints with specsavers...
I can't see anything wrong with them
I only go to independent optician much more personal service especially when you have special lens these 2 for 1 offers not suitable for me so avoid.
Hi
Recently bought some new varifocals from Specsavers ( been a customer for about 3 years) and had trouble with just one lens. The trouble they went to to make sure I was satisfied was nothing short of brilliant.I have never had any trouble with them at all.

No problems with them. Courteous, helpful, excellent eye tests. Explanations of why each test was being done. Reassuring when nothing untoward found. Only too ready to adjust frames without charge if they become too loose or chafe after wearing.
Never had a pair with shoddy workmanship.
No problems with Specsavers and the staff are very helpful
I wouldn't use them, they once managed to get OH's glasses completely wrong with the left lens on the right and vice versa among other things. We have a very good independant who can't do enough for us and has been brilliant with OH's eye condition.
I get my specs at optical express, had my new glasses 1/2 an hour and the arm fell off,the plastic bits that are on your nose have also fell off the two pairs,i maybe try specsavers and see if they are better than this one
No complaints about Specsavers but I did go to Boots last time because they had an offer on prescription sunglasses. I thought I could get points too but I couldn't.
you dont have to go there. plenty of other high street shops and also much cheaper online ones.

i have a very basic prescription and only use my glasses for driving, but i get all mine online for a fraction of the price - i have no complaints about quality etc

Happy with my Specsaver glasses. 2 for 1 is always a bonus.
At the risk of the blind leading the blind, Vision Express has always been good to me.
I used to go there but got fed up with their hard sell .I don't want two pairs for the price of one either .I go to an independent now .Personal service ,really thorough eye test .They picked up a mole at the back of my eye which Specsavers never did all the time I went there .And think yourself lucky you only paid 200 notes mawashi ,mine cost double that with a very complicated prescription .

Each Specsavers is a business in its own right, there are good ones and not so good ones. They are not a single chain like for example McDonalds.
Each manager has quite a lot of 'space' to make his/her business 'personal'.
The main benefit is the national advertising which gives each shop a lot more 'exposure' than they would get as a 'stand alone' optician.
I used to use Specsavers but over the years their care became increasingly haphazard. The branch I went to seemed to be manned by locums, and the only person with any length of service or indeed depth of knowledge was the sole contact lens specialist who worked part time. Their range of frames seemed to get very limited, and dispensing opticians seemed to be keen to flog me something very dear that did not remotely suit me. Eventually I got totally hacked off and now I go to Asda instead.
