Magnifying Glass Necklace

I would like to buy a magnifying glass necklace because it would save me carrying my reading glasses everywhere. I just Googled them and there's thousands, so can anyone tell me about one that they have actually used. I would like it to look nice but mainly I would like the magnification to be worthwhile. I could see on some of the Google images, where the magnifying glass was over some writing, it was hardly magnifying at all. I bought a credit card sized magnifier and it's rubbish so I don't want to make the same mistake again, that's why I'm asking for recommendations.

Forgive me for being the first,but probably not the last to suggest a good pair of reading glasses as the preferred option marijn.

If they drive you nuts, get a couple of cheap spare pairs, so one in the handbag, one in the kitchen, one by the bed etc and keep the good pair for reading. That saves you having to remember them all the time.

There are lots here. These are x8 and x9 magnification. I had a client registered blind who used x10 which he managed to get by with.

Thanks Pixie. I have looked at those but not sure which ones are good. I didn't realise you could get magnification x 10 though. I have a credit card sized one, it's magnification is supposed to be strong, but it's blurry. It would be good to get a recommendation from someone, but perhaps not many people use them.

The magnification alone should tell you how good they are. Do you know what the credit card one is?

Thanks Pixie, I can't find it at the mo, I know it was supposed to be strong, but it's very blurry. It's like it was ribbed which distorted and made it useless.

I have just ordered one online, in the shape of an owl with a magnifying glass in the middle. It probably won't be much good though as it was only £2.49 with free p & p. So if anyone has a recommendation for an actual proper one, answers will be gratefully received.
