I'm a bit of an Ebay virgin. If I buy an item from America will my payment automatically be converted into dollars or do I have to do something different?

The conversion is automatic but remember that, unless the item costs less than £15 (or is exempt from VAT), you might get hit for hefty import charges.

Thank you Buenchico
Just bought a pen from USA it cost £12.50 which it stated under the dollar price, with postage cost as much as the one I had seen in a shop that had sold out, my first USA experience and everything went fine.
If you pay via PayPal the conversion is automatic. But if you use another method you have to send the correct amount in $ or an amount in £ that converts to the correct $ amount.
