if I was to reserve an item in store today - I understand they only hold it for 24 hours. As the store doesnt open until Saturday, would my reservation still be valid as the store has been closed? The item is in the sale so would really like one before they all go!

You will be OK till Saturday or maybe Sunday.

Just reserve and find out - the site tells you how long they will hold it for.
