Has anyone here ever rented a rug doctor carpet cleaner? are they any good for the money. I have read some good and bad reviews for them.

Yeah. I found it to be very good. It lifted stains I didn't think would ever come out.

It's quite time consuming though. You have to do it really slowly.

I rented one and as ummmm found it good but you do have to go very slowly. Also dilute the detergent to at least double what it says on the pack.
