Gig Of The Week

Last night we went to see Gabrielle Aplin at The Haunt (here in Brighton).
Great evening, and clear front runner for Gig Of The Week.
BUT ...
On Tuesday, SlinkyKate went to see Neil Diamond.
In favour of Gabrielle ...
-The Haunt is a brilliant little venue (maximum capacity 375).
-We rounded off the evening with a bit of dancing at The Mesmerist, and a sneaky fifty at the casino.
-Gabrielle Aplin has made Brighton her new home, after recently moving here (well, who wouldn't want to move here!).
-Gabrielle not only now frequents the local pubs, she can occasionally be found with her friends busking(!) in The Lanes (yes, really).
-The tickets were only £12.
-I can walk home from The Haunt in about 2 minutes (except for the small detour via Pizza Express, The Mesmerist and the casino).
In favour of Neil ...

-The build up to his tour has been enormous.
-After lots of decades, he still plays proper music, not over-produced, manufactured stuff.
So by a short head (is that the expression? or is that when you and the BF get interrupted by your friends turning up early?) ...
