Hi there I have a job interview on Tuesday for a funeral organiser and my black trousers don't really look that good on me they are quite long and baggy. I have a really smart navy blazer black shoes would it be ok to wear biege trousers? As they look really smart on me

Why do you have to go in black? Funeral directors only wear black when "at work" as at other times they are more......colourful. If you were being interviewed for a porn star, they would n't expect you to turn up in a G-string and a "strap-on ***"or for a consultant surgeon in your theatre gowns. No geordie........scrap the black for the interview.

For a funeral director it should be black, white shirt and black tie.

But if you haven't got that then you might be OK in what you have. Wear a tie.

It's you they are interviewing, although first impressions matter a great deal. Good luck.
Good luck with the interview Gordie xx
p.s. it's a purely personal thing but I HATE beige in any form at any time. Stick to black in my opinion for this interview.
No! no! gordie.............

Black is NOT essential and you will look smart in the above apparel.
I'm pretty sure they won't expect you to look like a mourner at a funeral. Remember it's an INTERview I.e. You're opportunity to see if the job / company is right for you as well as them seeing if you are the right person. This approach can often reduce your nervousness.
I'm with Jan ... good luck anyway with the interview Gordie.
If the company hiring are worth their salt they wont be making a judgment based on whether or not the applicant owns black clothing.

If they are expect a "Goth" to get the job.

Good luck Gordie, dress smart and be confident.
^ .... True lozzy ... go & get it Gordie!
If it were my choice I'd bin the navy jacket and just wear the beige trousers, nice laundered shirt and a tie.

Lol ...
A suit would be better, but what you have will be fine. A jacket is a must at an interview - and a shirt and tie.

Thanks naomi
Lol Sqad, no comments about funeral directors and "stiffs" please ;-/
you can pick up very good suits and trousers from charity shops .
The main thing is to feel comfortable in appropriate clothing and a smart navy blazer, shirt tie and beige trousers sounds perfect gordie. IF you get the job you will probably be given a uniform anyway so owning a black suit is not necessary. Black suits are a no no for interviews in my opinion anyway.
Its a dying trade these days!

Hey, of course you could if this was the 70's and you were wearing a matching handlebar mustache.
laundered shirt and tie - very much - time smartens the person up. Love a man with a tie - think they have taken time out for themselves.
