Bridesmaid shoes
I've been talked into being a bridesmaid at my brothers wedding. I'm really not the dress and posh shoes type of person, and can't get away with big high heels. Above is the skirt of the outfit I'll be wearing, any advice on shoes... what style, colour etc? Thanks

Possibly go for a pair of brocade shoes in a different background colour to the skirt, but with the same colour maroon brocading.
If you live anywhere near London, just go for a wander down the Kings Road - shoe heaven!
Quite often people buy shoes for weddings in white satin from places like dance wear stockists. These can then be dyed to match your outfit. These shops usually have a range of shoes so you can find something comfortable. You will be on your feet a lot.
Alternatively - if your kirt reaches the ground do what I did when I was a bridesmaid last. My outfit shoes (as chosen by the bride) were very high heeled. I wore them for the service, photos and meal. But before the dancing changed into my more comfy trainers. No one knew.
