I need some ideas please for a small gift for a couple in their 60s (about £5 or £6 no more) they are diabetic so no chocs or biscuits, don't smoke, and not sure if they drink alcohol, and can't buy plant etc as they go away early January.

A real dilemma! Help please ..............

Sun tan lotion?
Question Author
Thought about toiletries but that wouldn't really be suitable for the husband too ...
How about a CD if you know what type of music they like.
Why wouldn't the husband use a sun tan lotion, Ann?

shame about the booze as M&S have a 50% off selected wines and their Malbec is excellent.....otherwise, why not some daffy or tulip bulbs?
Flowers that will be over before they go? A poinsettia that they can chuck?

I don't Tony, they are an Indian couple who I only vaguely know.

Think they will also be at relatives over Christmas ...................
Ah... a year's supply of garam masala then ;-)
Wilkinson so have some nice big packs of chunky potpourri for £5.
Dabetic chocolates?
or a nice jar or two of a low sugar preserve, or confit, anything without the sugar....
Diabetic chocolates would be even better.
What did you get them last year?
Try Thorntons - they usually do diabetic chocolates and sweeties.
What about something they could both use in the kitchen, this is just an example as is out of stock but even supermarkets sell similar now.

How about a nice photo frame? (If you've got a suitable image you could put it into the frame):

How about a nice calendar? Depending on their personality, you can get some really attractive themed ones to suit them.

Previous year - things for the garden, candles, room spray, vase

Thanks for all your great ideas .... will have a think which is best. :)
