Then sent it to Hemel Hempstead for me to collect. As it was worth less than a fiver anyway, I just told them to send it back.
had I known yodel was the carrier I would not have bought it..have had several run ins with them..claiming to have delivered goods..in practice left on doorstep and been nicked by passers by..I have a short cut to the side of the house that all and sundry use to get down to main street shops and bus stop...
Murraymints - have you tried looking on the roof?!
Hermes are just as bad - they were terrible leading up to the Christmas break. I ordered something from Lakeland and they use Hermes as their carrier - the order took far too long to turn up and, when it did, the outer box was all bashed around - lucky the contents were well insulated, and they weren't damaged. And when I got in touch with them by email (couldn't find a phone number to have a rant!) they just said (the electronic equivalent of a mumble) that they wouldn't accept a complaint from me, it had to be from the people who actually sent the item to me. (like Yodel) Wasn't best pleased, but at least the packet arrived (just in time I should add!). Interestingly, I ordered something else from another company who use Hermes, and the item arrived in a very timely manner!

I know someone who ordered a laptop ..and they left it under his car on the drive !!! good fortune that it wasn't squashed when he reversed out..he was so angry (nearly£500 worth) that he contacted them to report non delivery and got another....driver was supposed to get a signature so he had them bang to rights..served them right !!!
chokkie..I saw that one..lol....I also took delivery of a Boden water jug and glasses from Yodel..only in a thousand pieces after I found it under a shrub down drive...clearly had been tossed down the drive...no car on drive = no one home as far as they are concerned..nothing through door either..found the parcel when weeding !!
