Something you have is an antique or just a knock off?

I have a 6 inch jug/pitcher with King George v and queen Mary on it and Mr Cassa thinks it might be an antique but we can't find it anywhere on the net.

In all the stuff we have seen George is on the right of Mary but on this one it is the other way round.

Any ideas as to how he finds out about it would be most welcome.

The makers stamp could help you.

It's at least 80 years old if genuine. Look for signs of wear on the base.

If it's a coronation souvenir it's 105 years old.

There doesn't appear to be a makers mark just what looks like four blobs of orangish colour in the shape of either 88 or foot prints. Can't quite tell !

The shape is very different to the others on line although I have seen the same sort of ware on the wording.

Take it to an antique shop and ask the staff. They might know something about it.
