Both Tesco and Waitrose do Liquid Soap Flakes for £3.00 per 750ml if that's of any help
The big supermarkets will only stock lines that they know will sell well....and these are a bit "old-fashioned". I think they are expensive because they've been discontinued and there are very limited stocks.
Margo...if you look at the dimensions in your link, you will see that it's a "collectable miniature"!
Have you tried the small hardware shops that sell just about everything? I still get Windolene from this type of shop as they don't seem to have that anymore in the supermarkets.
Oops - sorry about that I didn't look at the size!
Does not look like you can get them anymore. This a link from the Company that claim they were the only manufacturer.

Interesting. I have a half boxworth of Lux flakes on the shelf by my washing machine. Ever since washing machines got a wool setting I've not done any hand washing, so it's been there untouched for a while now. Says "Lever" on the pack.

"That’s why we’ve developed a liquid variety that has all the benefits of dry soap flakes with none of the disadvantages"

Ah so not down to being able to sell you the water to take home with you too, then. I reckon if the market and the will was there they could get a new machine commissioned to flake soap.
Dri Pack produced it for Lever Brothers who withdrew it in 2001 when Dri Pack then sold their own brand.
