Victorian Street Lamps

hi guys. I have a large, genuine, working Victorian street lamp which i would like to sell. Where would i be able to get the best price for it, and will i destroy it if i clean it with a pressure washer and sand down and repaint it (it's very thick with paint)
Also, does anyone know what the posts they used to hang the outside lamps on during ww2 are called? i have also have one of them that i may sell, but don't know what it's called!

There is a company in Elland, Yorkshire called Andy Thorntons. They might buy it. Failing that look up Architectural salvage yards' on Google.

I wouldn't strip or clean it. Leave that to professionals. Changing it in any way could also devalue it.

^ That is a reproduction one a real one would go for more money, but there is a market for them people use them as 'driveway lights'

wooooo!!! £400!! i was thinking about £50!! I have another one that is still in the ground which i'm defo going to get out now, so happy :-) and thanks eddie, dont know why i didn't think of ebay in the first place
