Reviews On E. Bay

how is it that someone can give a review on E bay for something that I am selling if they are not buying that item and have not bought from me at all.
I have only just seen it today , is it a new thing.

It is not a rating about your specific item it is about the item in general.
For example, I sell vintage cameras on eBay, one I recently listed was an Olympus Trip 35. There are 22 reviews of the Trip 35 on eBay , they describe that model of camera and lists it's good and bad points. Reviews are good as they give other people's views and experience of that item and so add to people's decision to bid and how high to go.
