Programmed Stations On Dab Radio
5 Answers
I have just bought a Dab/FM radio from Sainsburys. A JSSR-3, a small neat and tactile radio. However I cannot program in any stations on either dab or FM.
The instructions say " find your station -Press and hold the pre-set button - it will flash "pre-set empty 1" ( or whichever) - press the select/volume button - it will show "pre-set stored".
Does not happen. Any ideas or do I just walk it back as faulty. I admit I am not very techie and may be missing something obvious. Grateful for your thoughts.

Unlike AM or FM radios you can't simply tune in a station (and then, if required, store it into memory) as soon as you take a DAB radio out of the box. You MUST do a full scan FIRST (in the same way that you have to allow a new TV set to scan for channels before you can select any of them).
So look for the scanning instructions and follow them. You should then be able to select stations and store them into memory.

Thank you all for your help. I have done another full auto scan and inserted batteries but still cannot program a station. The prog was broadcasting. FM is just the same so maybe the set is faulty. When you bought new things years ago I don't remembering them being so hit and miss as they are now. Oh dear, there's my grey hair showing again. Thank you for your input - I shall go and put some sunflower hearts u for the birds. They always cheer me up. The coal tits are really active just now.
