Smoke the Mog has a new party trick. My lovely new bedside lamps are sort where you tap the base to use them. Stupid o'clock in the morning and it's disco heaven for Smoke. It's on,it's off,it's on again. I may have to get rid. Of the lamps not Smoke.

I think that cats spend all their time working out ways to get on our nerves. Once upon a time I had ornaments in my bedroom. They used to get batted across the room as a way of waking me up and out my bed in the morning.

They are whining just now as they want to go upstairs but not without me - they can't get into the treat jar on their own.

Dogs can be easier to live with.

My dog is fast asleep on the settee, having had her dinner.

I can't unplug it without shifting the bed to get to the socket. Just plugging them in required bribing Smoke with vast amounts of Dreamies. Wolf is right - dogs tend to be easier. But at least the cat has never eaten my shoes.

Tilly has never eaten my shoes. She's eaten my niece's slippers though. That was because she was allowed to. Dogs do as they're told. Cats just drive you bonkers. :-)

My boxer ate my school gym shoes. I was wearing them at the time!
I do find it's better for me if I obey my cat
