How can an item get lost in the post even thought the EXACT address is clearly shown and has all the codes necessary for easy delivery. I just cannot understand how an item can go AWOL. Where on earth do these "missing" items end up? I have my own theories but for fear of being sued i would not put my belief to print. I can understand that delays occur but if a packet is "lost" it must be SOMEWHERE. Does anyone out there have a reasonable answer to where missing postal items are? The Post Office itself has no clue so who do you believe!

Lost parcels go to a facility in Belfast
Stolen ?
I wonder if sometimes they get posted through the wrong door and whoever lives there can't be bothered to pass them on.
I'm not surprised that "The Post Office" has no clue...missing postal items are nothing to do with them.
YEs, Was probably lost by Royal Mail. Maybe label came off, maybe went to wrong sorting office, maybe misdelivered, maybe stolen, maybe fallen on the floor out of sight. Sometimes post turns up years later
