Unfortunately, I splashed some bleach on a dress I've got (which I love and don't want to throw out!) - if I dye the whole dress, will the bleach mark get covered and disappear? Thanks.
My guess is it could depend on the dye used, but possibly not, unless it was a very deep dark colour, maybe. I'm thinking that the original colour will affect the final outcome, which will be different where the original colour was bleached out.
One way to find out though. Or maybe bleach the whole dress ?
I once made a dress into a blouse after a similar incident and another time used embroidered motifs - it's a very common accident to have however careful you are.
These days I'm lucky if I can open the bleach, which may be a blessing really.
The short answer is no. I tried that on a pair of red jeans ( it was a very long time ago ! ) which had bleach spilled on them exactly as you say, and the bleached part still stood out as distinctly different to the rest of the jeans.
I might try the tip of spreading the dress colour on to the marks with clear alcohol - if that doesn't work I'll just drink the booze and feel sorry for myself!
