Why Are My Tablets So Slow To Charge?

Both of my tablets...a Google Nexus and a Samsung Galaxy tab S2....are very slow to charge. Even not charging at all if I'm using them at the same time.

I am not too sure on this but if you continue to use a device, at the same time as charging, it is bound to increase the time.

I expect an AB Techie will be along in minute !

I realise that Mikey...its the general overall slowness that I'm concerned about. Doesn't matter where they are plugged in...wall or extension lead.

as they both use android operating systems, download ccleaner off googleplay and see if it helps, also some apps hog memory, if you do not use them delete them, some you cannot unless you have rooted the devices, the ones you have can rooted, then you can use a different custom made rom without the bloatware.

My Samsung tablet takes ages to charge, Pasta. It seems to take longer and longer as the tablet gets older. My Samsung phone is very quick to charge though.

sorry i read the op wrong i thought, the whole system running being slow and not the charging, as was said wrong charger and maybe cable mismatch

Wrong charger...I doubt it. Using original with nexus...had to replace cable for Samsung, but that was ok too...until they both seemed to slow down.
Same here, Tilly. Samsung phone charges quickly.
I'll try ccleaner.

Both my iPhone and iPad charge much faster in airplane mode. So maybe turning off wifi might help.
