Plastic Fridge /kitchen Storage Boxes

got waylaid in the kitchen looking for a particular storage box and ended up clearing out the whole lot.how do they seem to lose lids ? so many without that have now been tossed, but still got far too many, put it down to IKEAitis and the "they will come in handy " attitude.... and glass storage jars , those ones with the metal clamp down thing..why do I need 15 ? 2 bags to go to recycling bank ... is it just me ?

No, it isn't - sometimes it's easier to buy new than open the dreaded cupboard where they lurk, all mismatched and missing lids, nothing stacks properly.

I have about a dozen lids with no container - I have no idea how I manage it.

I collect those little square jars I get with chutney in and use them when the grandchildren come wanting to make lemon curd. Know what you mean about plastic things, I have a lot of boxes, a lot of lids, but few actually match up. Currently I am in the process of getting rid of one of those wire carousels in a corner cupboard, such a waste of space, I'll get something to use the space better, keeping the top one and getting rid of the bottom one.

I keep my lids and boxes separate...well you have to-right? Has anybody yet designed the things so matching parts are stored together? That would be an innovation...and make too much sense.

I have missed 2 lovely blouses and one pair of track bottoms (I loved them as they were so comfortable). Now how do you lose clothes. I have of course cleared many times but never have come across them. Do think there is a ghost living with me LOL

I did the same Murray, fixing a kitchen tap, everything in the cupboard underneath was moved then sorted through, lids missing ;0)
