Ikea delivery
Im buying 4 wardrobes and other bedroom furniture and need to know if it will be cheaper to hire a van, or get Ikea to deliver (to Surrey/Hants borders).
Thanks

It depends on your postcode (ie how far away you are from the store) - but my delivery was 45 and Im less than 30 miles from the store. This delivery charge was for 'everything' I bought, not per item or restricted quantity. So you could fill their van and it would cost you no more than the 45.
Plus they deliver in about 3 days.
I think it would be cheaper to have them deliver it and then you don't even have to pick up all the boxes and carry them round the store. You just go to each Customer Services point and add another item to you order list, and then when you've finished pay in the normal way and then visit the delivery point to book where and when.
Good Luck!
We live 28 miles away from Gateshead and were charged 35 (but only had one trolley), they add 5 per extra trolley after the first three I think.
However be careful, after a delivery date of 29 Dec and two additional dates when item wasn't delivered (through fault of ikea not passing item to delivery company) we finally received the item on Saturday 7 January 2006. May be worth hiring a van and picking the goods up yourself. Very stressful!
