I would have said, 'Stop scanning.' I would have offered them a tissue. I would have asked them to call a supervisor. Then I would have made a big fuss...there and then!

Then again, I don't shop in Tesco.

I don't think it says anything about the hygiene of the store as she suggested. It says something about the hygiene of one employee.

I don't know what I'd do.

I would have left the shopping and walked away......in the days when we had to hand our card over a checkout girl sneezed into her hand then held it out for my card.
I had a word with the manager and next Tesco visit every checkout had a box of tissues......don't think that lasted long.....
Customers can be as bad.....I spoke to an elderly couple who were using the serving spoons at the salad bar to taste all the offerings then putting the spoons back into the salads....... :-(

This poor woman's getting some stick on the comments section! I totally agree with her, something like this would have made me feel sick. I also hate it when they're coughing and sneezing all over your purchases.

Reminds me of a work colleague who did not wash his hands after going to the loo .

When he used to ask me if i wanted a cup of tea - you guess - the answer was always a definite no .

Should i have mentioned his lack of hygiene to my other
