Our local branch (Preston) of Ultimate Outdoors is closing down and is being replaced with Go Outdoors, are these two members of the same parent company? I know Blacks is connected to U Outdoors but wondered if there was a connection, between the others

Blacks and Millets are owned by JD Sports (Pentland Group).

Ultimate Outdoors was introduced in Preston in July 2014, combining Blacks and Millets ranges with additional cycling, fishing and climbing ranges.

Go Outdoors Topco Limited was acquired by JD Sports Fashion Plc in Nov 2016, which prompted a Government inquiry. Clearance on the merger followed in May 2017.
