Problem With New Spectacles

I had a cataract op in my left eye about two months ago and got my new specs last Friday. I suffer with double vision following a TIA about 10 years ago. The new glasses seem to have made the problem worse, but the optician says it could take three weeks for my brain to adjust to the new lenses. Just looking for reassurance that it will get better - it is awful at the moment. I have prisms in both lenses. The prescription has changed a lot now the cataract has gone.

Well... took me a while to adjust to vari-focals, so give it time. Optician may be right. Or maybe ask doc ?
