Funny How You Miss People

That brass you off....
Me and my son have a real love/hate relationship at times. Some of his habits really P me off (but I love him more than life itself)
He's gone to stay at his girlfriends for a few days and my flat seems so empty and lonely without him.
I often wish that he would get a place of his own but at times like this I question my reasoning.
Strange thing is I broke up with my last partner a few years ago and quiet frankly glad to see the back of her and enjoying my 'freedom' but been apart from your own children seems to be a different kettle of fish.

I think he's quite a bit older than yourboy, though. I love him but the flat isn't really big enough for thegthree of us. And I know he loves me too but also doesn't want to be here all his life.

My three girls are all long left and settled with two children each.
I still miss them, and I love to see them, and I know that sharing a house again would not be a good idea.
Our youngest came back for a year when her marriage broke up, and we loved having her and her little boy with us, but she is very happy now with a new partner and another little boy as well.
I think being exasperated, and missing our children is something hardwired into us as parents.
