She sent her boy to a public school so to avoid the drug gangs etc and then criticised excess use of stop and search.Sorry bit off track.Mr aog Your guess is as good as mine. How much information did she share with the police when she was immediately aware her son was previously being groomed by the bros?
There are barriers between the police and the ethnic cultures certainly.
They certainly open up and apportion blame to everyone but themselves. The continuous link in this dreadful butchers bill in the country appears that most young black victims and perpetrators have no male role models. How many of these grieving mothers are still with the father? Very few I would suggest.

Sigh. Another AOG question where the answer is in the article.
Probably a bit difficult for the average DM reader as it's right at the end of the piece so they'll probably have been distracted by the video pop up or the bikini clad 'celebrities' on the right after a couple of paras.
'Mr Whellams urged anyone who may Know anything to contact police or Crimestoppers, saying: 'In order to combat this type of crime we need co-operation - the police can't do this on their own, we need co-operation from the community at large.'

And presumably that co-operation will only be forthcoming of there is £20k of taxpayers' dosh on offer.
Call me old-fashioned, but if I had information that may lead to the arrest and conviction of a murder suspect when the victim was from my "community" (or indeed from anywhere else) I would offer it freely.
