I have 5 adults and 2 children coming for lunch over xmas and wanted to put some little gift wrapped, in a box so each person could pick one out and unwrap it, but not sure what because of the mixture of adults and children, any ideas please.

I think you'll need 2 boxes, one for each category. Anything else could end in tears. Even then, with only two choices between two children could be a disaster ("hers was better than mine" for example) so you need to tread very carefuly (sorry for the damper, but you did ask, although I guess I've just reinforced your worries).

Yes Canary I think you are right, I will get a little gift for each person and leave it by the place setting at the table.
