Online Grocery Shopping
13 Answers
My mother is 88, and not too good on computers. She does e mail and a bit of Googling but little more. She is easily flustered when she doesn't know what to do on the keyboard
She has asked me about doing her grocery shopping online (probably from Waitrose), as a physical shop is getting hard.
I have never done a supermarket on line shop.
Is there any chance she could cope, or is it hard to do?

The first was just getting used to the layout and faffing around, after that twas much easier.
If you buy the same things week in, week out it's even easier.
You can also add to your order, I think for up to 24 hours after you've placed it.
Maybe not 24, but it can be added to or taken away from.

Anne, you may have got it.
I live in another part of the country, but she could tell me what she wants and I will do the ordering.
I just think she will panic when she doesn't know what to do.
She was widowed and remarried, but his sight has deteriorated so he can't use a computer. I think they are finding lugging home a big shop difficult. They would probably still go to select fresh stuff and browse for a few items.

I use Asda, it’s £5 for a month long delivery pass (and you can have any slot you want and as many deliveries as you like). Minimum spend is £40 but £25 if you pay for each individual slot. You can change your order up to midnight the night before delivery. You can save your order as a shopping list and just alter it a bit if you buy similar stuff each time. Would your mum be comfortable with a stranger carrying her shopping into her house?
