Parcel Returns Problem

I made a purchase of 2 desktop air con units from ebay, they were faulty so I contacted seller who sent me a pre-paid returns label, the label wouldn't scan, it kept bleeping as Invalid. I contacted seller who said they would send another. Nothing arrived so I opened a case with ebay, who sent me the sellers details and I was able to take the parcel to my local Hermes drop off point and return parcel. Seller is saying they haven't received it, and want proof, I sent to them and ebay all I had, the blue receipt ticket with the date and tracking number and the email receipt from Hermes. I also sent the tracing details that says its been delivered. However, both the seller and ebay are saying this isn't proof, they want original proof of postage with seller details, but when the seller opened a case, mine was closed so I can no longer view the details ebay sent to me. I have emailed Hermes, no reply . I am at a loss what to do. Any advise please

Phone Hermes. Was the package signed for on delivery? If so by whom

I rang Hermes who said it was delivered and left in a secure outbuilding, so no, no signature unfortunately.

Ask them for a photo of where they left the parcel and a map showing the address.

You may be able to use Google Street view Google maps to link the outbuilding to the known address.
