I never have and I wondered how many suits you own and how often the get cleaned? Do you always get the jacket and trousers cleaned together?
I tend to put clean clothes on for work every day - it's so easy to throw them in the washer and dryer and don't even need ironing but I realise this isn't practical for suit wearers.
Many years ago I used to wear suit jackets and trouser to work which my uncle used to clean for free at his dry cleaners. Then around 15 years ago they introduced uniforms at work and they were machine washable. I just wear casual stuff to work now.
I'm a window cleaner - I might get a few funny looks, climbing my ladder donned in 1 of my 2 suits that I own.
My suits get worn at weddings , funerals and any other functions where it's fitting .... but apart from that, I'm a jeans and t-shirt guy :)
My late husband had Marks washable suits or blazer and trousers for work but in fact the jackets weren't worn unless he was going out of the office or had a very important visitor. He either worked in shirtsleeves or wore a sweater and that was usual office usage for the businesses he worked with as well. He would change his trousers at very least twice a week but more often in summer. He did have one super smart suit and one smart blazer and trousers ensemble for very special occasions, also a DJ and these did have to be dry cleaned but weren't worn often.
I work in an area where all the 'office type staff' wear trousers, shirt and tie but not suits/jacket - would only only see a suit on for special occasions or customer meetings apart from some older men who prefer to wear a suit all time. I'm sure any suit would be sent to the cleaners with both parts.
someone at my work wears a bowler in the winter and a panama in the summer. it's a very old fashioned workplace, but big. We have everything from that guy to all year round short wearers
