So taking the mickey is now far right.
Its nothing to do with her race or colour but everything to do with her inability to do her highly paid and very responsible job.

I suppose no matter what colour or gender you are you will get a load of stick in politics when you are Home Secretary. If you wish to abolish State schools yet send your son to a private school to keep away from the oiks and get a criminal record then best insure your son does not go round punching and spitting at coppers. If you declare a copper is murdered and hacked to death at Broadwater then best to keep trap shut rather than declare the cops got a bloody good hiding along with Mr Grant.
When you attend car crash interviews and have not a clue what the subject in question is about then she must accept brickbats. In short she is thick as a plank and out of depth in a car park puddle. She is just a token black woman in a ultra left wing Labour party that along with her boss and chancellor have shown she is not fit for purpose.

//TBF the eejits in her seat keep electing her!//
I may have mentioned that I lived in Ms Abbott's constituency for 24 years (thankfully leaving before she arrived) so I know it quite well. Hackney North and Stoke Newington is a constituency of two types of people. There are areas where "Corbynistas" will proliferate. The price of a three bedroom terraced house (which I used to live in) is often north of one million smackeroonies. However, because of the nature and "diverse cultures" of the rest of the inhabitants I wouldn't live there now if you paid me to. Stoke Newington High Street would give the Old Bazaar in Cairo a run for its money. At least two (of the six when I lived there) cinemas have been converted to mosques. There used to be a high concentration of prosperous Jewish people there. They mainly moved out to Golders Green, Ilford and Gants Hill (and for obvious reasons have moved on from those areas). The only Jewish presence there now is a very tight knit enclave of Hasidic Jews in the Stamford Hill area. Church Street sees a number of trendy wine bars and bistros where the Corbynites sup their vegan dinners. The bulk of the area is an unadulterated dump. I can quite understand why almost 40,000 people (70% of those who voted) chose Ms Abbott. I don't suppose it occurred to them that the lady with two left shoes (who would have difficulty counting her feet let alone ensuring they are properly shod), could by now have been about to be sworn in as Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the Home Department. Those that did realise that obviously didn't care.

I read the link and it does seem to me that poking fun at politicians has been misinterpreted and over-thought in this case. I cannot see how the Abbott maintains her position - or why anyone would vote for her, no matter what her politics, given the persona she projects (private school when she wants to abolish them etc., etc.).
^^^I'm surprised people were so quick to forgive and forget.
When she stated she couldn't "defend the indefensible" about sending her son to a private school, what she actually meant was 'the state schools are perfectly good enough for the children of my constituents, but they are not good enough for my son because we are better than my constituents'.
Still, fat lot of good a private education was, given what a charmer her son has turned out to be.

It has been established that Ms Abbott has two left feet.
