I bought a pack of Morrison pocket tissues which said reduced from £1.00 to 80p
Then a close look at the packet showed that there were only 9 tissues and reduced by one. Surely this is a scam and the £1.00 pack contained 10 tissues and the 80p only contained 9

Not a scam- but we need to be careful about smaller pack sizes. The offer sounds like Morrisons offer anyway- they can charge what they like and if the price for 9 was also £1 they can rightly claim it was now reduced by 20p.
Anyway, they usually contain extra info like -price per sheet

The tissues in the £1.00 pack cost 10p per packet.
The tissues in the 80p pack cost 8.88p per packet.
Not a scam.
