Your best friend visiting you neither helps the economy nor tries to repair the next generation's education blip. Whereas your hairdresser can't find 2m long scissors to cut your hair with.

And people aren’t 2 metres apart in shops either! It’s all v well distancing them in queue outside but as soon as you’re inside you’re all bunched up against each other in the aisles.
Depends where you shop Smow - no problem self-distancing when I go to Waitrose.
Question Author
Well sadly we don’t have a Waitrose. We have a Lidl and a Co-op and as I can’t drive at the moment I’m stuck with them
Question Author
And the aisles are really narrow. And yes I have tried getting a home delivery - no chance lol
My nearest Lidl has been absolutely fine too - no queue to get in and hardly any customers inside!
Most folk do try to stay 2m away in supermarkets. Where they need to pass by nearer they seem to have the common sense to look away as they pass. Perhaps that's the answer to your hairdresser issue. They could look away as they cut it for you ?
Question Author
My Lidl has been a nightmare - the queue is literally right around the block.
Don’t think that would have the best results OG lol.....
I’ve booked my hairdresser for the 10 July and am keeping my fingers crossed that they can work. She contacted me to say that she’ll be in full PPE, not sure if I’ll have to wear a mask or not though.

I don’t understand being able to have a cleaner round, who could have been in other households before yours, but you can’t have a mate round for a coffee.

All a bit of a pickle isn’t it.......
rocky if you have cleaner round you are supposed to socially distance, not stay in the same room, go out of the house if you can.
Are you suggesting we should close shops, Smow?
You are going shopping at the wrong time I think or not in the best way. I hate the shopping experience too but I've found a fortnightly click and collect is easy to get and so minimises the need for the occasional mini-shop at quiet times. Face coverings can hekp too.
As for having a friend round, no-one will arrest you, especially if you wear a mask and keep 2m apart, but it's saying it's not a good idea at all for you to let someone in touching your things and there is the temptation to hu, move closer, share cups, use toilet. You can meet her outside though
yeppo
and it is meant to work like that !

with a varied let out - you are pretty well bound to get some or alot of anomalies - like - I cant get buried, but I can hire a man to come around and nail my hand to the work top

whats more - this is AB so if it doesnt occur - you can just make them up ! everyone else does!
// All a bit of a pickle isn’t it.......//

pickle in a pigs ear ma'am - lucky it is not Boris' pocker that is all I say
>I don’t understand being able to have a cleaner round, who could have been in other households before yours, but you can’t have a mate round for a coffee.

Sorry, I never understand this point. People perhaps imagine rich people with a cleaner but in reality it's often disabled people like my aunt who need someone to do basic cleaning. They don't hug. She wears PPE. She doesn't have a coffee, And it's helping the economy. If you have a cleaner normally it's up to you whether you want the risk of having them round.
You can probably have a friend round for coffee without being arrested if you want to take the risk but it's not a good idea. Just meet up somewhere- maybe while your cleaner is doing your house

I’ve tried my Lidl at all times - always the same! I can walk a lot further and to to the Co-op but it’s a much longer walk home and with broken fingers not too much fun carrying the bags lol.
Will Teen smow help out with shopping in return for his low rent?
Went to Lidl and M & S yesterday. Lidl was awful, no queue outside, they were just letting people in, two employees on the tills, so customers were queuing the length of the two aisles, so impossible to self distance as they are not wide enough! Other employees wandering about ordering other employees about!
M & S completely different. Lady outside asking if you need a trolley then spraying one for you. Special areas roped of for queuing at a safe distance, then counting customers in and out of the food hall. So civilised!
Lidl need to up their game!
Smow have you thought about buying a wheeled trolley? I know they are a bit old lady ish but would help you carry more shopping at a time.

Teen Smow actually went shopping on way home from work yesterday without us knowing, and bought quite a few basics which was much appreciated x
