On 2nd August we will have been married 12 years. It gets harder and harder to find a present every year - he has no hobbies, doesn’t read, is a workaholic basically. He likes to watch sport when he has some free time but that’s about it! Help lol.

just tie a big red bow around your self....... or treat him to a meal
A voucher to visit the stadium of his choice or the cricket ground , whichever he follows , for a guided tour?
well 12th wedding anniversary = silk, i don't suppose that helps

My anniversary next Sunday and I could do with some ideas, so I'm pleased to see you've posted this.

I don't know what he's bought me for a present, but as I'm on crutches and can't really go out anywhere, he's ordered me a bottle of Dompers 2008 :-)

What are your husband's hobbies and interests, Smow?
Tell Mr G you'd like a couple of travel vouchers for you and your Mum Lcg, for recuperation purposes, he'll understand hehe
A day out "experience". My ex was the same, hated sport, didn't read. I got him a flying lesson. He loved it...talked for weeks about getting lessons.
A day at the races, if you have racecourse near you?

Some good ideas. He supports Man Utd but I’ve done the Stadium visit before, got him the shirt etc.....
What about a comedy show?
Travel with mum is a sore subject right now, bobbi ;-)
Oops, with a friend maybe? I'll go with ya haha
No, I'd definitely rather go with my mum. We've got a trip to Prague booked for next May but OH has said he doesn't want to go to Kos in September and I suggested I take my mum instead. He's not a happy bunny - I think he's a bit jealous if I'm honest.
Sorry, Smow.

Does he like beer or whisky? There are lots of tasting experiences you could buy him.
Oh, bobbi, I've just realised how my post sounded. I didn't mean I'd rather go with my mum than you. I meant I'd rather go with her than a friend.

I have the same lack of tact my late nan had...
Why doesn't he want to go in September ?
( sorry JJ , hope you don't mind)
12 years is silk and linen ... how's his knicker drawer?
Haha, I never read it as such
Oops, I meant Smow

Lots of great ideas - Thankyou!!
He doesn't want the travel chaos, Bobbi.

Smow, how about a night away in a spa hotel in a nice city / town for the two of you? I think that's the route I'm going to go down.
