Where Have All The Fireworks Gone?
83 Answers
I've heard very few around me tonight - such a shame in the current depressing climate. I wanted to buy some sparklers today and discovered that neither Sainsburys nor Waitrose are selling fireworks this year - shame on them for not honouring a British tradition.

From the way the numbers rattled up tonight it seems as though there are still plenty of fireworks around and plenty of people wishing that there weren't.
Though i signed the petition, i wouldn't necessarily advocate the total ban of sales. I would, however, put a restriction on their use to say, between 7pm and 9pm on Nov 5th, and not at all on any other day. They are still being set off almost incessantly near me and my poor dog is a nervous wreck.
We have had quite a few days where they have been a constant background noise, night and day. What i cannot understand is why they are being set off during daylight hours. Surely, the array of colours these airborne fireworks produce are better viewed in the dark?
