I am so lucky and very blessed.
Had a doorstep visit from daughter, son in law and 4/5 grandchildren.
Had some wonderful pressies. There was a bottle of Cava, bottle of strawberry and sarsaparilla gin, a beautiful blue necklace and earrings, pot with a rose bush in it. Subscription for good food magazine. The piece de resistance though was afternoon tea! There were two platters, one had salmon and cucumber sandwiches and egg and cress sandwiches. All very dainty with crusts cut off.
The other platter had 4 home made scones, with three pots containing butter, jam and cream. And 2 cream, jam and pastry tarts.
It was all delicious. I also got 7 Mother's Day cards. One from daughter and SIL, 5 from grandkids and one from all the animals.
I really am so spoilt but grateful.

WOW Thats a real lot of presents.
That’s lovely, Caran.
I got some beautiful flowers and a card from my cat, my son and his wife.

(Did you find your earrings, BTW?)

Yes i did thank you, they were there on my hanger all the time!
I'm having a bad time with things like that at the moment.
You'll make all those of us who didn't get any presents on Mothers' Day envious, Caran - and I put my best dress on too!

;-)
The red one Chris ?
I prefer Chris in the blue... glad you had a good day caran xx
Mad, isn’t it, Caran? I lost a key and later found it right in the middle of the landing, plain as day.
I did trip to Jens mum this morning with card and a box of chocolates

Just tried the sarsaparilla gin, it's really nice. Quite strange though. Absolutely jet black.
That's a lovely post, Caran. My son phoned with greetings early morning. We had a chat then I had to give him a good telling off over something....Mothers never change! ;-)
That all sounds just womderful x
I spent over 2 hours on the phone with my daughter. It was lovely.
It sounds like you have a caring family, caran.

I once lost my mobile...only to find it 2 days later in the lounge doorway. A doorway I go through dozens of times a day.
My daughter came round early and cleaned the house (I've hurt my back) and she bought me loads of chocolates.
She can come and do mine ummmm - I’m still incapacitated. Ironically today is the 12th anniversary of my mums death - she was only 59. Weird that it’s the day after Mother’s Day.
